Cruiseline acquires Ship Mate Cruise App - Your thoughts?

Ship Mate is very excited to join the team and we hope that our users are equally as enthusiastic about the partnership.

We've each built amazing communities, teams, content and technology. Combining these won't be a 1 + 1 = 2 scenario. We're guessing it will add up to at least 14.

It's like that tranformer movie where a couple little cars mash together and all of a sudden they're throwing huge aliens through walls. Ok, maybe it's not exactly like that - but, you get the point.

If there are any thoughts, worries, or requests relating to this merger, please let us know. We'd love to get your feedback.

We'll continue doing our best to bring you the best cruise resource possible!

great app. Love it..... I use it during the day at the office, I look at the ship web cams and day dream I am there and not stuck in Down town looking out the office window. I also like the count down..... just to bad the I phone app does not make the ship horn sound like the android does :( That would be fun to set off in the office.

Hi JusMe - Thanks so much for the kind words! The horn is still in there. Check it out...

I have used Shipmate for several years, both on my smartphone and my Mac. It now seems to be ONLY available on mobile devices. Are there plans to have it available - again - on desktops/laptops? I really like the app, but it is much easier to navigate and provide feedback from a full-size keyboard, to say nothing of viewing on a screen larger than my mobile. I hope to hear back soon. Thanks.

I was about to comment on the merger, then noticed it happened 2 years ago.

Rich - I think that CruiseLine has pretty much the same information in it's database in an easy to access web page. Take a bit of time to explore the site.

It is a different organization of the info, but still complete and easy to use. Looking forward to hearing more from you in the forum!

Two of my favorite spots ...... one big happy family! Happy

Don't think I have any worries, per se.

When on board PC, we use their app for calendar and msging. I use conversion apps when I am in foreign countries (e.g., currency, distance). Aside from that, I don't rely on my iPhone much when traveling and I use the website on my laptop when I'm at home.

Shipmate is a great app. Lots of info. Welcome!!
