Cruise Line comments on reviews.

Looking over Reviews I noticed that MSC line comments on  reviews good and bad.  To me this shows that they are paying attention to what people say and are interested in producing a good product.

Have you scene any other line comment on its reviews ?  Do you feel that MSC cares more because they do this ?

MSC is pretty interesting. Take a look at Berlitz then compare their ratings with those here on Cruiseline or over on C.C. Anyway, here is what I posted before on the same subject:

"Trying to distinguish between the business model of the lines is a good idea but very difficult because comparisons are so convoluted. I.e., on a cruise the ship is used  weeks for an exploration type voyage then the next week or so for a booze cruise. The easiest to segregate are those lines who cater more to nationalities other than U.S. or Canadians. For instance MSC, Costa and P&O. Notice that the up and coming MSC is rated near the bottom for Cruiseline and C.C. yet Berlitz rates it number three. I believe this occurs because over 60% of cruise passengers are from the US and that is where most of these ratings originate. MSC operates in five languages on just about every ship, therefore they have few announcements, entertainment is usually more visual than verbal and the ships rarely provide lecturers (What, no lecturers, count me out). But MSC rates very high in categories many of the traditional lines have been falling short in over the last few years. Costa specializes in cruises for Europeans or passengers with European tastes, particularly Italians. P&O has always been a traditional British cruise company, some might say the same about  Cunard but Cunard ships have many more international passengers."

I very much admire MSC for paying attention to reviews about their ships both good and bad.  It shows that customer Service is important to them.  At least on this site I have not noticed any other cruise line doing this.  That does not mean that they don't read the reviews, though.

I have been on two MSC cruises on two different ships.  I enjoyed both my cruises.  I would travel on them again.  I think that the ships are very elegant.

Thanks for noticing, JusMe. We invite all the cruise lines to come on the site and engage with our members, and we're very pleased that MSC Cruises USA has done so. It's a definite sign that they're interested in guest feedback and improving the cruise experience!

Well, all I know is, Montclair State College is now University.  It's a good  school in a good area of northern NJ. About a half hour from the GWB. Best known for the Yogi Berra museum.

Oh, MSC cruise line.......sorry......never been

I think a lot of cruise lines tend to look on the sites. But don't want to comment. Good for MSC who is willing to engage.
