Cruise Ducks

These little guys are small

they hide behind chairs

Or on top of a wall

Or under the stairs.

They’re made of rubber

And most commonly yellow

Sometimes they’re found by a clubber

Or sometimes just any good old fellow…

What am I?

A Cruising Duck of course! What is a cruising duck? Well, it’s one of the hottest cruise fads of course. People are hiding ducks all over cruise ships for others to find. Once you find a duck, you can take pictures of yourself with the duck on the ship and then post it to social media using the tag #cruisingducks. You can choose to keep the duck or hide it on another cruise ship for others to find. The slogan is "keep or hide, you decide". The cruising duck game is kind of like a game of hide and seek.

So we want to know, have you hidden or found a #cruisingduck? What is the craziest duck or hiding place you’ve seen? Tell us about it!

I'm the crazy duck lady and have hidden over 50 mini rubber ducks (a few each day on my last cruise).

I also fold origami ducks by the dozen, anytime I am sitting listening or waiting. Folded over 200 sheets of 3"X3" origami paper into ducks on our last cruise to Alaska 2019. Tons of fun to see folks find rubber duckies, and because they are mini-ducks, I can spot folks who have found them.

The folded origami ducks were picked up by passengers and crew alike and fun to see around the ship. And yes, the paper ones are sometimes tossed, but not as often as you would think.

It's a bit of fun and no harm done.

Just don't hide in any of the shops, to save any misunderstandings!

I didn't realize there was a web site for tracking.

I'll have to look into it.

Sailing the Caribbean Princess May 2021!

Keep and eye open!

I'll be going "quackers", I'll be so happy to be at sea!!!!

Sorry, didn't take pictures of rubber duckies.

Thank you for the smiles you bring to others. I love the ducks, but leave them for others.Love

Wow that is cute, cruishing with the duck, I didn't know that was even possible! Epic.

Assuming that we are allowed to resume cruising, I will be taking some ducks with me in Feb. 2021!

I thought it was called “the balcony club” ? Oh wait, it says DUCK. NevermindBig Smile
