Crew Points

I have been using the app for a little bit longer before I found the site, but I'm a bit confused on the Crew points. If I use the app, and it does not seem like any points are earned, but when I use the site, it does not seem like I earn points either. Right now I'm at 4 total points, which does not make sense to me with my activity. Does it take time to verify posts/points/reviews? How do some people get so many points and move up in the ranks?

Hi meghad23,

Currently, cruiseline.com Crew points are only earned for activity on the cruieline.com website and not on Ship Mate app. This will likely change in the future.

However, there does seem to be a discrepancy with your points, as you should have received points for your cruise review and other activity on cruiseline.com.

We'll review the problem and make any necessary adjustments.

Thanks so much! I was wondering if it was just me, or if I missed a memo somewhere :)

Is there a "Max points earned" in a day? I seem to get 4 points in a week and that is all no matter how active I am. Should I contact someone officially?

Simon will take care of you, but it may take a bit of research. I believe he is the superhuman behind the screen here -- never rests until the job is doneWink. (Seriously -- he does a great job with the site and helping out us users  )

I do not believe that there is a daily or weekly limit of points.

I do not know when the points update either -- if it is live, daily or weekly (I never really paid attention to it, but then again I never had a problem with it as you seem to be having).

Like Simon said, the points are for activity on this site only, not on the ShipMate app, but if your reviews, etc were posted from this site, then you should have a lot more points.

Perfect! Thanks for the help :) Sometimes I know you need to put a "formal" request or form in sometimes, so I just want to make sure I was following proper protocols. I feel like If I follow the outlines, point wise I should be way farther along, so that's why I asked on a max/limit.

As I said, we'll look into the issue and get it rectified. It looks like you're definitely due some points. Thanks for your patience while we take care of it.
