Cozumel Beaches

My friend and I want to go to the beach in Cozumel...on our own, no excursions, just a taxi ride. Where should we go? All we need is beautiful beach, drinks in our hands, and maybe some good food too.

Check out the port reviews of Cozumel! https://cruiseline.com/port/caribbean-western/cozumel-mexico One user suggests San Fransisco beach. Enjoy!

I have not done the cruise option, but from my trip to Cozumel I had a much better time in Playa. You might want to consider the little boat ride over. Better beach, shops, and things to do. Have fun!

I know you said you didn't want an excursion or a taxi, but I don't know anything about that. So, another option if you are interested..... Cozumel Bar Hop. It is a guided tour kind of thing but is not affiliated with the cruise lines (otherwise they would charge double for it!). Google it. I think it was about $50 per person and we took a nice air conditioned bus to 4 different bars plus a bonus stop to take pictures. The Hop goes to the uninhabited side of the island where there is no electricity. The bars run on generators and take cash only. They also serve food (we had some awesome chicken nachos at Coconuts). You get a free shot at each bar and can also pay cash for additional drinks. All of these bars are on beautiful beaches and you get to see the side of the island that many don't! You can also just take a cab to one of the bars over there and just relax. It was so fun and so beautiful!Love

Playa Mia is a beutiful Beach on my last cruise my husband and I took a taxi right from the port on our own. It cost us less then doing an excursion through the cruise line. The cab ride was about 12 dollars each way and depending on what package you want to purchase at Playa Mia just look it up and you'll see what they offer.

Great Advice! I was contemplating the Playa Twister excursion
