COVID Anxiety

Has COVID caused you more anxiety recently? How has this affected your outlook in life?

The degree that people are affected makes me sad. Hopefully this all ends soon.

The testing rules add just another complication to get on a ship. Cruise fans, will do what it takes to get on-board. But lines are making it more difficult to include kids and adults who are in a higher risk situation to participate in the cruise vacations.

We'll jump through the hoops for the 6 bookings we have in place already (made them far in advance before the plague). But I'm not leaning toward planning any more cruises beyond those booked until the rules start to abate.

We did the same (almost) with our five...but I'm taking them one at a time. I don't board cruise ships LOOKING for problems....but NOW is a completely different set of rules...we'll see how the first one goes in NOV......

I have seasonal allergies (summer through fall).

If I need to go out, to prevent from getting that side-eye when I sniff or sneeze in public, I make certain to take my allergy pills at home, then wait an hour so they kick in, then go out all masked up.

Reminds of that one part in Steven King's "The Stand", when the disease Captain Trip was running rampant, and one guy coughed on a train. Other passengers thought he was infected with Captain Trips and was accosted by authorities for (assumed) being out in public while sick.

Yes, you caring for others is really nice. I hope it is the same for others.

I honestly the first one is promising. This can make a lot of people confident about cruising.
