Controversial rules

How many of these rules apply to you when cruising?

We really haven't been affected by them but definitely understand why they are so controversial. The room service items we have ordered each morning are free - coffee and fruit which we appreciate. If the rules changed and we couldn't bring sodas onboard DH would survive  drinking Coke products, I'm sure.

The room service charge bugs me a little, but we usually only order breakfast, which is free on Carnival.

One positive change for Carnival is that they now sell a 12 pack of bottled water for $4.50 through the Fun Shops.  We pre-order a pack and it's waiting for us in our cabin.  We wouldn't lug water from home, but we do enjoy having a few bottles in the cabin.

Fortunately, the one by NCL about not bringing food back was revoked quickly.  How come it was okay for it to be delivered, with a charge, but not alright to bring it back fro the buffet ?   Oh that's right, $$$$$

I've never bought food back from the buffet..Why would anyone!?... I will bring a few slices of Pizza back... As far as room service I usually order the free late stuff and If I see anything appetizing that cost a few bucks plus tip I do it

I also keep the dishes in my cabin.  The steward always removes them.  I don't discard trash in the passage way... Room service in the morning is a bagel. Carafe of coffee and OJ.. No charge...simple simple

I've brought cookies back to the cabin.  Way too many cookies!  Peanut butter and chocolate chip, my favorites.

I've never tried room service.  Have never seen the need.  My usual routine in the morning is up by 6am to go to the gym then breakfast afterwards.  Lunch and dinner I'm out and about already.

I'd like to add on CCL I've never seen the buffet police.... I can take a full tray back and not be handcuff.....

I would at least like to carry a bottle of water with me to drink on Embarkation day.  It can get pretty hot in FL.  I have never carted packs of water, though or soda.  Carnival won't even allow one bottle on board unless it is in a can.  Anyone know of bottled water in a ca

Another one that bothers me is not allowing you to bring back food from the buffet.  I like to bring back a cookie or two sometime.  Glad that one was eliminated.

Available on Amazon.

Some of the embarkation rooms have vending machines and they may have single bottles of water along with sodas to hold guests over for the short time they are waiting to board the ship.

Rules? RULES? I dont need any stinkin rules!
