Cloud 9 Spa Cabins

I'm booked on the Carnival Splendor and in a cloud 9 spa cabin.  This will be my first time cruising on the Splendor and first time in a cloud 9 cabin.  What should I expect from this ship and cabin.  Share with me the good, bad and the ugly.  Also give me your opinion on the cloud 9 cabins, in your opinion is it worth the price?  I've done a bit of research but curious to hear what you all think.

Thanks for your help

Well, we were booked on the Splendor, in a Cloud 9 cabin.  We were disappointed.  Though the cabin was nice, the elevator to the spa was out of service for the entire week.  I'm sure it's been fixed by now.

The spa was also disappointing, compared to what we are used to on Norwegian.  The pool is small, and the cove above was never cleaned. Dusticles hung everywhere.   The spa rooms with the heated benches were too hot to be used for any length of time.

Keep in mind, the Cloud 9 Spa is a private contractor, and Carnival provides the space they can use.  Sadly, compared to Manderra Spa on Norwegian,  we would not book it again.  We prefer Norwegian.

Sorry for the bad review, but it's an honest one.   It is however, only my opinion. You may enjoy it.

We had three Cloud 9 spa balcony cabins in July.  We were on deck 11.  The cabins were very quiet and so convenient to Lido buffet and splash park area.

By the time everyone had their vacations scheduled, this was the only area where I could book our three cabins in close proximity without risking being in a very noisy spot.

The rooms were nice, and DD and DH used the spa privileges daily.  I purchased a weekly pass and used it once Surprised  (Yep, it turns out I'm too lazy to go to the spa Big Smile)  For the three cabins, two of us got our money's worth, but our DD and DH in third cabin aren't spa people either.  If you aren't going to use the spa, then IMO the cabin itself isn't any more special than other comparable balcony cabins.

We loved the Splendor.  She is indeed PINK, but somehow it works.  The crew was amazing, and the best way I can think to describe it is a "happy ship".  Overall, one of our favorite ships and favorite cruises.

Thanks for the honestly

Thank you, I'm a spa junkie this is why I thought this would be a nice treat.  I hope to visit it daily, but who knows.....lol

Friends of ours book the spa rooms for each cruise and always take advantage of the spa, plus book a variety of treatments throughout the week. I don't think they've been on  the Splendor, but they sure enjoyed the spa balcony rooms on other ships.
