Cheesy things on cruise ships

So this particular memory just popped into my head reading someone else posts and I have to ask everyone what are cheesy things you encountered on your cruises.

The one that came to my mind was in the MDR on the Carnival Conquest, they have a magician that floats around the dining room doing these little magic tricks. Now it is not enough that the guy looks and acts like cousin Fester from the Adams Family but his magic is quite amusing. We encountered him twice on separate cruises and when he came up to us, I called him by name and said I remember you. LOL he did not even do a trick for us, he just took off! LOL afraid we would dispell the magic?

The Grand Buffets sometimes had carvings.......out of blocks of cheese

Remember when the backed Alaska was paraded around the dining room flaming? this was about 20 years ago or more.

Not the Baked Alaska Dance, but entertaining none the less.

On the Carnival Triumph, during dinner the waiters would start to dance on some special tables to the rap song "Low" by T-Pain and Flo-Rida. It was funny to me, but there were plenty of diners that started dancing on the spot Surprised

I have posed this question a few times and actually submitted it to Carnival and NCL. With a portable induction heater, you wouldn't need an open flame. I never even received an answer from either company.

Fondue...yummy!

I think some of the required uniforms look cheesy. I understand staff are there to partially entertain us, but they can do that in something classy. I feel so bad for them when they are dressed up in Bozo the Clown colors.

Upon reflecting on this topic, it seems that the "Cheese Factor" is one of the things that attracts me to a certain budget cruise line. Although I have never participated in them, I do enjoy watching the belly flop contest, sexy legs contest, etc. And as for the coveted "Ship-on-a-Stick", I am the proud owner of oneBig Smile (Trivia question during the "Morning Show" -- how many dimples on a golf ball (the "correct" answer was 338, although Google will disagree with thatWink)

That's funny. Big Smile

Now that is cheesy!

YUMMMMMM I would totally pay a cover price for that... The melting pot, 2 people would cost upwards to 100$
