" We realize that it was the day after Christmas and some may have been homesick but this is part of the industry.". That's right, some MOST LIKELY were homesick! How shallow to post an "I don't care, it's your job" attitude. These crew members are not robots. They work 7 to 10 months out of the year, seven days a week serving many unappreciative people (wink). Many come from homes where their only income is what they earn. They have hearts and family's. If this is a concern of yours, don't cruise during the Christmas holiday.

Dinner at Tuscan Grill was probably the most memorable part. Other dinners were at best adequate and service was very slow. We felt that the dining/bar staff was not happy to be there and definitely showed. We realize that it was the day after Christmas and some may have been homesick but this is part of the industry.
We have been on other cruise lines and have enjoyed the staff and gotten to know many of them.
Holiday cruising might not be your thing or better yet. You try working Christmas day.
I guess that i can understand that crew may not be happy spending Christmas working but they really shouldn't let it affect their work.
