Carnival Victory pros and cons

I'll be sailing on the Victory in 3 weeks. If like to get everyone's input on the pros and cons of the ship. I know it's older and that only the staterooms are updated. Looking for info on shows, food, etc. Thanks!

The Victory is an older ship,   I was on it a year ago,  she was clean and in good shape.  For food you have the MDR, Lido and outside by the pool is the Grill, Chopsticks and Sea Food Shack (A new addition).  When I was on her the food and service in the MDR was very good,  better then I just had on the Vista.  The shows were typical cruise ship shows and should have changed in the last year.  The Piano bar was good when I was on the Victory.

I like the older ships that are cruise ships and not floating amusement park and water parks.  The less attractions the less kids on ship.

The only "con" I found was no Steak House.  The "Pro" is good food, good service, clean ship, good staff, quiet cabin and nice size ship.

We were on her in 2001, so yeah, she's old

There may be less kids than on other Carnival ships since there is less to attract kids.  All Carnival ships give you good value.  You should expect good food, good service and friendly personnel.

We've been reading the reviews of the Victory on this site because we will be cruising on her plus the Conquest next March. For the most part, the reviews have been really good. Please be sure to post a review after your cruise and let us know how you enjoyed it.
