Sorry it should be "in" Galveston. This is what happens when I type with no glasses on. B-)

The Triumph now has a secondary backup generator that will give the ship power if the backup generator fails , that sounds good to me

The Triumph still gets decent reviews. It's in our top 5 best cruises from Galveston. http://cruiseline.com/port/galveston-texas/cruise/best

CruiselineQ... one of the best 5 out of TX because hardly anything else sails out. Very rarely you'll catch a Princess ship, mostly CCL, and starting next year NCL..... And Disney, but that won't happen for very much longer. The updated Triumph is still more expensive than the Elation, if you live in the DFW area its a much better bet to sail out of NOLA.

WOW nickympeterson! I did giggle when I saw that Triumph was in the top 5 cruise ships sailing out of Galveston. Carnival could use some competition in Galveston and that would help with the cost. But why go to a neighboring state that have ships going to the same ports of call. Galveston for me!

Lol. Good point @nickympeterson! Not many ships sailing out of Galveston. Will be good to have a Norwegian ship there next year.

@texassea, I agree with you on this... I just live in Dallas so its the same distance for me basically. And a good excuse to hang out on burbon street before, hopefully not missing the ship the next day! lol
