Maybe a different Carnival ship would be better. I don't know if I will ever do another cruise after this experience. Makes me sad!

I am surprised that you didn;t enjoy the comedy shows more as I have always found them to be wonderful entertainment. What movies did you see on board> I hope that you next cruise is a better fit for you. I had been looking forward to a future cruise on this ship as I have not sailed on her yet. Thanks for sharing.
Terriejan, I refer to Carnival as the "floating Wall Mart", I agree the MDR service has been cut on Carnival ships and it is hit and miss for good MDR service. We had good MDR service on 2 out of 3 trips on the Inspiration, good on the Glory and very slow on the Imagination. It depends on your staff.
Think of a Carnival Cruise like a rental car, if you rent a Toyota Yaris do not expect a Cadillac. Carnival is "the fun ship" and its focus is on fun, not 4 or 5 star service.
If your book another cruise I would suggest trying a different cruise line. Carnival and NCL are the bottom of the bucket. Check prices and you can book other lines for about the same price if your flexible with travel dates.
Before you book do some research on the ship and its reviews on different web sites. Look for passenger reviews as they are current. Sometimes the web site may do a review when the ship is new and it can be dated when the ship is now 5 or 10 years old.
