A lesson learned here about the importance of purchasing cruise/travel insurance. If you had the insurance, you could have cancelled the cruise (by securing a doctors note) and filing a claim for which you would have been reimbursed 100%. You could have used that refund to book your next cruise for after you fully recover. You need to understand that as unfortunate that your accident was, it was too late for the cruise line to accommodate you with a wheelchair accessible cabin as there are few on the ships and they were already probably booked 1 week prior to your sail date. Your having an uncomfortable experience with the bed, access to the bathroom,  not being able to use the balcony and not being able to fully experience your excursions is of no fault of the cruise line.  I think that the positive note here is that the crew did all they could to accommodate you in other areas.
