No more Carnival

In response to review, Glitterfairy says ...

"We‚ didn't like the food"? Preparation? Selection? Was this something they did wrong, or that you were not happy with the available choices? Thanks!

So many questions, so little answers. From reading many Carnival reviews, the food seems to be the biggest letdown for many reviewers. I am not sure what the reviewers expect, but I would think quality and cost have to be considered in the equation. Just my thoughts.

You get what you pay for.  If I could afford HAL all the time, I'd be there.   Truth is, we are always  very pleased with NCL.

Compared to the local fare where I live, Carnival consistently puts out gourmet meals -- even at the buffet!

We have enjoyed the food on Carnival ships. I think people sometimes forget that the chefs are trying to prepare about 3000 meals, and food will not be piping hot. It's really just banquet food at its finest on a Carnival ship and I'm fine with that.

Food is food.  It is all in the taste of the eater.  I like "slop"  not fancy do gooder food like snails and fish eggs and all that mess.  Give me the basics and I am happy.  Carnival food makes me happy.  Not too fancy, really down to earth food and very tasty.  I love the steakhouses on the ships, good steak and shrimp for me.  Buffets have always great choices, main dining room is great, if it were not for the bragging tablemates..they leave a sour taste in your mouth.

Actually, I really enjoy the snails on Carnival. Not so much the fish eggs. Too salty for me.

Then again, I also enjoy the "Stuff" on a Shingle on the morning buffet.

I have actually liked the food on Carnival.  I hope that  it is not slip-ping.

That made me laugh!!!

ESCARGOT - ummmm - GOOD!

On my one and only cruise so far, which was on Carnival, I thought some of the breakfast items were cold -- but that's partly because it takes a while to get everything, then get coffee, then find a table, then put everything down without spilling anything, etc. Not their fault. One thing I wish they had was trays, but again I'm not in charge.

Next time, I plan to solve this problem by getting breakfast in the MDR, where I assume things like eggs and pancakes are made fresh to order. I anticipate problem solved. Happy
