Bump in the night

In response to review, CrusinTim says ...

Sorry you weren't happy with your cabin location. Next time, I would recommend you research using a deckplan from either the cruise line website or from a site such as deckplans.com to see what is around the cabin you are planning to book. I usually have the deckplan open when I'm talking to my agent on the phone to make sure there are no venues around me that will go "bump in the night".‚  Hope your next sailing is better. :)

Thanks for the advice. It would be nice if cruise ships stacked the storage areas rather than putting rooms underneath them, but I doubt things will change.

CruisinTim has good advice in that when booking, you should review the deck plans so you know what is over, under and next to you. Cabins surrounding you are usually quiet, as are quiet public areas (such as the spa). Avoid lounges and "blank" areas.
