I have cruised on this ship a few times.  I have also done most of the major cruise lines. Yes it is Carnival,  Yes it is an older, smaller ship but if you go to have fun you will have a great time.   I joke and call Carnival the floating Walmart, yet I keep going on it because it can be a lot of fun.   On the 3 and 4 night trips it is very casual where I can wear jeans and a long sleeve shirt to "Cruise Fancy" night.

If you get on the ship thinking your on Celebrity or HAL you will be disappointed. If you get on the ship for a few days o casual fun you will have a good time.  Just remember the low cost of the cruise that caught your attention will also catch the attention of anyone can can afford that low price.

I have not cruised on this particular Carnival ship but I have cruised on many other Carnival ships.  Sorry to read that you experience was poor.  I always enjoy my Carnival cruises but have never encountered what you describe.  I suggest you return to the other cruise lines that did satisfy you.    You will be happier.

I was on this ship twice last year and never had any issues with the staff. In fact I would say they were very good.  No this isn't a  luxury cruise line, go Disney, Princess, NCL if your looking for that, just be prepared to pay and be on ships with many more people per sq foot, as Carnival keeps the ratio of passengers relatively low for the size of their ships.
