Carnival F2TF worth it?

So this will be our 3rd cruise coming up in March 2019. We were thinking on getting (or trying to anyways) the FTTF, but I've seen so many say it's not worth it. They say it's only worth it for tender ports and the like.

Two of our ports are tenders, but we have booked ship excursions for both ports, so it wouldn't matter would it? This will be our first cruise where we have purchased any excursions so we are noobs when it comes to these.

Any help would be appreciated!

Our traveling companions did get FTTF for this last cruise and were very glad they did! With priority debarkation at the tender ports they were able to get off and get to their dive shop in time for their tour. Another person on the same cruise did not make to the shop in time. Note that their tours were not booked through Carnival. However, if your shore tours are through Carnival it would not be necessary as they meet in a separate place on the ship and have their own tenders for the shore tours. Only you can decide if you need it. Our friends also had number 2 for final debarkation so they could have made an early flight if needed.

Thank you so much! I really think we don't need to waste the 90 buxs this cruise, and save it for drinks and items to bring home!

This will be our first time on a dream class ship as well... we so can't wait. Any tips and tricks are always appreciated!

We've gotten it every cruise it's been available. I like getting on the ship earlier, going to my room right away and dropping my carry on items off in the room. When my luggage is there, I go ahead and unpack. Between that and being able to tender with more flexibility, we really enjoy having it. I almost didn't get it with this upcoming cruise in March but had FOMO when I saw it was available and bought it!

Sounds like you have a nice compromise with the $90. Enjoy!

These are the same reasons we have bought FTTF for all of our cruises. We don’t buy drinks, and usually just go to the beach in the ports, which are either free or very little cost, so FTTF is our only “excursion” to purchase.

Totally agree re FTTF, CARNIVAL isn't my line of choice, but been on it several times..with and without...get it! and the bigger the ship, the more you'll appreciate it. Its mechanically treated exactly like an excursion....limited availability too...if its $$, then I would willingly trade off buying less junque in order to sign up for FTTF. I honestly didn't think it would/could work...had this whole discussion with the Queen re getting it...she said do what you want...which to me meant if something got screwed up that we could have avoided, its MY fault....ahem....so we got it...it works!!!!
