Carnival Dream Vs. Freedom

I am gearing up to book our next cruise using our FCC that we received from the Vista mechanical issues. I am looking for opinions..the good, the bad and the ugly on these ships. I am leaning towards a 5 or 6 day this go round. I am on a budget so i am hoping choosing one of the shorter trips would be more cost effective for me. Also, I am going to try to keep this a surprise for my son. I will tell the hubby but probably not my son until we leave for port.. or get close to the port.

So what do you all think of the Carnival Dream and Freedom? I am also doing my own research, but I think the opinion of others helps too.

I was looking too!! Great minds think alike!! Wink That would really be something fun for him, just hope other kids wouldn't find them and take off with them. I would probably talk to someone, CD or guest services to make sure they wouldn't get taken.

Come on yearly review and bonuses!! Momma is ready to book a cruise Big Smile

They could actually be found in your cabin. Maybe day 3 have Theodore hiding in the towel animals or poking out of a drawer. Or if you have lunch on the Lido, sitting in the corner of the booth just before he sits down. I would only put them in the "public" spots just as it is time to find them. Like you, I'd be worried other children might just pick them up. If you have assigned dining for dinner, one could be in his chair. I'm sure the waitstaff would be happy to be part of the game. I know you will be able to think of lots of ways to surprise him.
