Carnival Brings Back Live Steel Drum Music on the Lido Deck

Do you remember when Carnival had live steel drum music poolside years ago?  Well they have decided to bring it back.  Now you will really feel that you are in the Caribbean when you are on board one of their ships.

I really enjoy steel drums. I just don't cruise Carnival anymore. Not to say I would not if the price was right.

I like the steel drums,  much better then an annoying DJ that is so loud you have to yell at the person next to you just to talk.

They had the steel drums on our Magic cruise last September.  Very enjoyable.  They were only playing part of the time, with live acts and a little DJ time as well.  Something for everyone.  Even though the volume of the steel drums was loud, it wasn't the head crunching loudness of the DJ.  I'm a child of the seventies and that DJ is WAAAAYYYY to loud for this Aerosmith, Nazareth, etc., fan.

This is great.  I hate the DJ as well blaring crap music.  Steel drum music keeps the fun mood up.  When I'm on a cruise I do not want to listen to DJ junk.  Hopefully they will have it this summer for my 8 day cruise on Magic.
