We have looked into the cruises with some of out favorite artists. However, the cost for the cruise is often double what a normal cruise would be.

I haven’t checked the pricing on any of these cruises but I remember when Carnival started this, the idea was that the concert was just a special show on one day or evening. The bands aren’t on the cruise; they stay in the port and come aboard a different ship each day for two or three consecutive dates. There will be people booked on these cruises that have no idea there’s a big show one night.

As for pricing, this is from Carnival’s website:

"Tickets to the shows cost between $20 and $60 per guest (depending on the band), and VIP tickets are $100–$250 per guest. As a VIP, you’ll get some of the best seats to the show, a laminated commemorative VIP pass, plus an exclusive meet-and-greet with the band… including an opportunity for a photo."

That looks like a pretty good deal compared to the usual price of concert tickets!
