we are having trouble deciding on a excision for Roatan, Honduras.. Can anyone tell us there experience if they have been on a excursion there? Thanks in advance.
It's a very nice cruise port owned by CCL
I've read the best excursions to look at are guided island tours. It's safer that way.
We have been there before I would recommend looking at the shore tours available by the cruise line you are sailing. We think a ship sponsored tour is the best option in this port.
I really enjoyed the Gumbalimba excursion -- the nature preserve is well kept, the staff are ultra polite and knowledgeable, and the monkeys are perverts! (They allow interaction with some monkeys, who tend to like to grab the front of ladies' chests)
When we were on the MSC Poesia, we took the chair lift to the complimentary Mahogany Beach where the lounge chairs are also complimentary. It was right there by the pier. It was fun swimming with the ship in the background.
