Camera or Cell Phone for Travel Photos?

I am wondering how many of us still rely on a camera when taking travel photos? I see more and more travelers using tablets or cell phones now. How about you?

We have always brought GoPros (and used to bring large DSLR camera). With the quality and durability of the phones now... there never seemed to be a need to use anything else.

This last cruise, I had my phone on me the whole time. Taking pictures, going live on social media, being able to keep in touch with family thanks to the internet, and the ability to post photos of our trip in almost real time was fun. Obviously losing your phone can be worse than losing your camera. But if I was going to bring one thing with me... it would be my phone.

Camera. We use a Cannon PowerShot D20 waterproof to 33 ft and a GoPro Hero 4 Black. Thinking of buying a GoPro Max before next cruise. On embarkation day, our phones get turned off and locked in the safe for the entire cruise.
