Camera or Cell Phone for Travel Photos?

I am wondering how many of us still rely on a camera when taking travel photos? I see more and more travelers using tablets or cell phones now. How about you?

This is one of my personal peeves when traveling. My sister is guilty of this. I have so many photos of her arm and iPad. It drives me crazy!

I still use a dumb phone. I must be the only left who does. Someday I will upgrade. I don't really worry about losing it.

I use my cellphone for photos but my husband and I bring along a video camera for excursions and whatnot.

They don't care about you. They have to get the shot. The fact you are blocked, is of no consequence. Memememememememememememememe........it's all about the Me.....don't you get that ? Surprised

I am usually the "photographer" of the group/family. For my cruise I had my phone, camera and Ipad. However, I only used my Ipad in my cabin. It took nice outdoor photos on the balcony. Happy I didn't use it in public because I don't like to be "one of those people" LOL I'm glad I had both my phone and camera, as my camera broke. Always good to have a back-up! Wink I'm really enjoying all of my pictures!

I usually take both. For things I want to post right away, I use my phone. For most things I use my camera. It's always good to have both in case one of them breaks.

Hey everyone ) a few years ago, even before marriage, I traveled and never thought about the camera, just shoot on my Iphone 5 and it was enough. We had a professional camera at our wedding and after viewing the photos I realized that I want the same photos after traveling. My husband and I bought a Sony 6000 and we were advised to buy glidecam for better results and for greater convenience, we chose from Glidecam XR Pro and Flycam HD 3000, we chose Glidecam XR Pro because we read the article https://gimbalgarage.com/best-glidecam-for-dslr/ and it was perfect for us in terms of parameters. Now I can say with certainty that definitely camera and now every our journey turns into a professional photo session )

I take a waterproof camera, it has way better quality photos than a cell phone or tablet. Plus I can take it snorkeling and get some really cool shots! I also take my larger camera for more formal pictures, as that has even better quality phots and a 35x zoom.

I use a GoPro. Very small, waterproof case, and you can take video or stills without being obvious. Fits in the palm of you hand. I really don't like carrying my cell phone on vacation - especially on the ship.

prefiero mi camara asi organizo mejor mis viajes empezando una nueva carpeta en la tarjeta de memoria y si le pasa algo es mas sencillo de reemplazar
