Camera or Cell Phone for Travel Photos?

I am wondering how many of us still rely on a camera when taking travel photos? I see more and more travelers using tablets or cell phones now. How about you?

I use my iPhone but DH uses a camera more than his cell, but he will use both.

Both and a GoPro

The camera... I'm really old school!

Cell phone and tablet.

did I say camera?

My Sony DSLR, Go Pro and I'm looking at a Sony or Cannon pocket camera. I will use my phone at times, when on the ship it is in the room.

I always take my camera everywhere. It is a small point and shoot Canon SX270HS which has a 20 x physical zoom so is quite versatile and gets good shots that a cell just cannot do.It is small and fits well in my pocket

The phones are excellent quality now and we can share photos instantly so we rarely use the cameras anymore. If we’re planning a lot of snorkeling or diving we’ll bring the waterproof camera, but we have one water resistant phone that’s awesome for most situations!

I have been considering a go pro... A couple cabins down from us, they mount it on their balcony during sunrise/sunsets, or just docking/leaving. That would be some interesting time lapse videos.

I always bring my CameraHappy
