Bug Protection / Mosquitos After the Hurricanes

Many of the islands are stricken with a lot more mosquito issues following a hurricane.

We swore by old AVON Skin so Soft back in the day in both Florida and St. Croix.  Now they actually sell a product that is good for bug repellant and sunscreen.

Grandmajo ... get some for when you are in Puerto Rico!

Gotta get some for sure.  Mosquitoes don't bother me much, but they have a feast on DD and DH.  They tell me it's because they are sweeter than me--Hmmpfh.

No way ... just stinkier than you ... if you can find the old original true Avon Skin So Soft - the little wipes that are unscented ... they're the best!  We didn't have much of a problem on St Croix but always was a problem in San Juan when we visited ... and with the amount of standing water ... could be bad ... no news of Zika yet....

The Avon stuff never worked for me and it repelled the DH.Crying  So I had to use things with DEET when we lived in WA.  Now it seems the Cutter wipes do the job...I keep some in my suitcase no matter where we travel.

We've never been bothered by mosquitoes while in any of the ports but I take Off just in case. I’ve never looked to see if it has Deet or if I’ve just wasted my money. Surprised

Being a single guy, I always carry protection when I cruise. Bought it on ship last time and WAY over paid, but better safe then sorry.

You could try wearing chain mail.  Just don’t wear it in the water. That stuff is heavy !   I tried a piece on at a tournament one time.  Those knights were strong.  As were their horses.    Now they have aluminum ( aluminium ? ) rings to knit that stuff.  Much better for the wearer.

Am I the only potty mind chuckling to myself here ...

No.  But I’ve been told to behave.

I feel like a neutered dog Sad

Me too but I can't help myself ...

The mosquitoes can get through the chain mail.Wink

My mind was laughing at the possible turn in topic, but I AM behaving myself this time.
