Booking through NextCruise on the ship VS Booking online at home

I asked this question on another site and thought I would get some opinions here.

My husband and I are about to go on a cruise in June (my 3rd, his first) and have already identified the next cruise we are interested in taking. We do not care about time of year for this cruise, just itinerary. We are looking to get the lowest price possible. Will it be more beneficial to book it at home or using the NextCruise desk on our June sailing? Also, I've heard too many horror stories about using a TA but have considered booking our cruise through the cruiseline and switching over to a CruisesIt.com TA. Does anyone have any experience using them?

Thanks for the help!
