Booking excursions - together or separate

Do you ever go on excursions without your travel partner, whether booked through the cruiseline or private company?

DH and I really enjoy most of the same things, so when booking excursions, it's always together. On our upcoming cruise he's thinking of doing the Behind the Scenes tour and I'm not really interested in it. I can't see us ever going in different directions off the ship but know of couples who do.

We've always booked excursions together.

We always do the excursions together.

My son and I have frequently booked separate excursions due to his liking of the "extreme" and my more sedate activity level.  I have frequently been on excursions where someone's spouse stayed back on ship or went on a different one.  It's such a short period of time and fun to share the day's experiences when you return.

I've always lived "let there be space in your togetherness" ...

For my upcoming Hawaii cruise, my husband is going to golf and I will do something different.

We do separate excursions a lot. We have different interests, so we each go our separate ways.

We do them together.
