Oh my tough question. At the top of my list would be our first Tahiti cruise on Holland, 30 day round trip San Diego. The first night of the cruise we met the Solo guitarist. He played in the Crows nest every evening. Felt like we had private concert every night. Tahiti was beautiful weather fantastic. We formed a friendship with the guitarist  that lasts till this day.

This is the first one that comes to mind. I look forward to seeing the answers in this thread.Happy

Wow – no way to pick just one!  River cruises in Europe jump to mind first, but big ship cruises to Europe, Hawaii and Alaska were all amazing – and our very first cruise will always hold a special place in our hearts.

I think I’ll say my favorite cruise is always the one I just finished but my best cruise is always the next one I’m going on! Big Smile

I haven't traveled much due to time, buddies needed and mostly money but I would say my best was my second cruise. Although my first cruise has some memories and excitement around it (some which I wish I could forget lol) my second cruise was a nice relaxing time where we didn't worry about excursions and just wanted to get away from our teacher lives. Had an inside balcony overlooking the promenade and just hit beaches and chilled out for 9 days.

My best cruise was the Carnival Ecstasy in Sept. '96. (Of course it was also my honeymoon cruise, so that may have had something to do with it.Big Smile)

2nd best was on Emerald Princess. Normally a cruise will have some minor inconveniences, but this cruise - although not 5 star quality, had all the pieces fitting well together.

(Note that by 5 star I am not referring to the review rating system, but comparing to what I imagine an ultra-luxury line would be.)

So far my best cruise was on the Carnival Splendor January 2014. We got married!

Close second would be on the Carnival Glory April 2015. Ports were perfect, weather was perfect, and we had a big group which was a lot of fun!

We have been enjoying Princess cruises a lot of late. We took a 28 day So Pac and Hawaii cruise.  Overall, I'd put that at the top of my list closely followed by B2B 15 day cruises through Panama Canal FLL-LA-FLL.  While it is great to do the Caribbean in the winter (and we would never turn that down), going to new places and exploring is a more cultural cruise and those two were especially fabulous!

One caveat to this is...

We've cruised European ports a few times.  Those trips were unforgettable from a cultural perspective. The cruise ships themselves left something to be desired though (older ships, smoking still allowed on balconies (making our's unusable), lower food quality). hence why the Princess trips top our list :)

Having only sailed Princess and Carnival so far, Princess is best for a great vacation, Carnival wins out on budget. I imagine my Celebrity cruise will compare pretty evenly with Princess.

Between no cruise at all or a cruise on Carnival, I'll choose answer SEA.

Hmmmm Loved 6-24-96 Viking Serenade,  got upgraded to outside cabin,  it was my first cruise and started me on my addiction.  4 nights to Baja.

Now,  I'm more for the European cruises like 11-2012 trip.   Started with a Week in Rome (my favorite city,  Hotel in the military district in historic Rome) then on to The Celebrity Equinox (my favorite ship,  Balcony on the angle of the ship so extra large balcony) for a 10 night Greek Islands cruise (favorite for food, beer and wine and culture of the trip)  then another week in Rome before flying back home.

Nothing like a month away to really get into the relaxed vacation mode.

I also have to mention the Carnival Concert Series where we saw Journey preform on the ship.  The Ship was clean and in good condition,  great service from cabin steward and MDR staff.  Good food on the ship,  not having to dress up..... just a few days of good fun and good music.

I had been on many cruises. But I will enlighten here my first cruise experience. As first of all I was bit nervous, I had read many reviews before going to cruise. I was a bit afraid that how it will turn out? Will my family like it or not. We had booked Royal Caribbean Enchantment Of The Seas. Through one of the online cruise booking site. The online site through which I had booked provided best cruise deals and also provided insurance cover up to $ 2,50,000 per head. I had checked online regarding what all activities would be present and their facilities. After all crosschecking we finally went and it turned out to be the one of the best cruise experience for me & my family.
My family enjoyed very well. And the food was delicious. We had been to Miami for 4 Days, 3 Nights
