Years ago I was on the Breeze when John healed was the director. Since then I’ve seen lots and lots of excellent directors. I think Matt (cruise director) on the Carnival vista is one of the best!!
Best cruise director ??
Mike Pack was absolutely awesome when we sailed on the Breeze. Jaime Dee was another favorite of ours, but she left Carnival when she got married this year. Dr E was on the Magic and he got on my last nerve. Good morning song, Ciao Ciao for now, and on and on and on.
Funny, but I couldn't even tell you who our CD's were on RCCL. I think it was a thing from the Carnival forums--made me notice and compare.
Now that I think of it ,you’re very correct !! I can’t remember the names of any of our Royal Caribbean cruise directors. They are completely different ( less fun) than Carnival.
Cloe on the Conquest last spring and Brittany on another ship were our favourites - always visible and interacting with guestsand showing how much they enjoyed their jobs. The other 5 CDs I don’t even remember, except for Mason and he was just ok.
I don't remember any of the CDs -- they have all been good enough though.
We've had some great ones, OK ones and so-so ones. Many that you have already mentioned and several that have move on to other things. I wouldn't want the job and sometimes they can make the cruise a better experience and sometimes they have no influence.
Watched a few of the CD's and have yet to see a bad one.
The good ones have all retired. The new ones are young and energetic but most have only worked for Carnival 2 years. It used to be harder to get promoted to CD.
Best one I liked was one on Carnival Triumph named Jenn. She reminded me of Phyllis Diller. The new ones are sort of duddish
Hey , I remember her !! Wow! You’re right, she was really good.
