Belize City - Local Beach / Bar / Food / Shopping

Does anyone know if there's a public beach (or private for a fee) near where you're dropped off from the ship?  Some place to hang out, get a drink and hopefully a drink?  Is there shopping nearby?  Thanks

Ambergris Caye sounds great.  I ended reserving a trip to Goff's Caye prior to your response.  Thanks.

Belize City is a hole. Don't even bother getting off the ship.

Dining out needn't be out of bounds for health freaks or those that square measure on a strict diet. You need not stop socializing or be cursed with salads and fruits when the remaining of the gang is pouncing on the best food in panama like there is no tomorrow. With the right portion of everything and proper selections you can eat healthy while dining out. Oops! Do I need to let out that secret now?click on "http://www.sabordelaindia.com/"
