Beach advice?

We will be cruising to Costa Maya for the first time this summer. Looking for beach ideas. Not expensive. Preferably with food/drink. We like Paradise Beach in Cozumel. Something similar?  Any input is appreciated!

ships usually dock there for less than eight hours.  when I was there it had a nice cruise center with a big pool.  yes.. there is a beach you can walk to.  Not much at all to do there.  I wish Costa Mayo was off the itinerary.

If you take taxi ( $2/pp) ask them for the most last beach stop about 10 minute drive. Lots of restaurants and menus to choose. It's less crowded and if you buy lunch you can use the beach chairs and umbrellas no additional fee. Drink only bottled water. Dont forget your sunblock and bug spray, because it costs much more on thr cruise and ports. Have fun!

I concur, ToddTheCruiser... We went to the ruins at Chacchoben, but outside of that, outside of the immediate port area, it didn't seem like Costa Maya was really set up to handle much in the way of tourist activity.  Just my two cents worth...

You guys needs to check out Tropicante.......it's awesome 5 minutes from port, food, drinks, shopping....quaint place on beautiful beach

We took a taxi to a beach and there was shops & food places there. Sorry i can't remember the name of it. Ask ta tax drive for what your requirement are & he will know where to take you. It wasn't far from the ship.

Hi Todd give me a shout out
