Balconies overlooking balconies

I really dislike the layout on Princess ships where the balconies are visible from above.  There is zero privacy.

I only cruised on Princess one time.  I would not like that layout either.

I found that when we sailed on the Regal Princess you could see into the cabins below the "sky walk".  I made a mental note to avoid booking those cabins!

I don't really care one way or another. It is amazing how little people actually use their balconies. The only thing I cannot stand is when people smoke on their balconies... especially on ships that forbid it. It completely ruins our enjoyment of the experience.

On a lot of the cruise line's newer ships nowadays balconies lack privacy. We had one that was set back but we could look into over a dozen others below us. The navigation bridge can see into many cabins as well. Not only that when in port at a narrow pier with another ship along side, you can see into almost all the balconies on the side facing you.

If you have such a cabin, it would be unwise to sunbathe or sit naked on your balcony. Many passengers and crew have good binoculars, LOL.

My cabin stewards tell me no balcony is totally private.

Doesn't bother me one way or another.

Just be careful out there.

If you're concerned who is watching, wear masks.   I'd be more concerned with who is listening.

Reminds me of the gym scene in Porky's,  Howooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!Love

My defense is "The Glare"  would be blinding if I sun bathed.

I enjoyed my balcony.  No, there isn't a lot of privacy, actually one day we received a notice that they were going to be cleaning our balcony and sure enough, they crew appeared on schedule. Happy   Of course we just waved to them and took their picture. lol   We had a nice clean balcony and enjoyed sitting out there enjoying a glass of wine or cup of coffee.  The neighbors never bothered us.  I think I'm spoiled. Love
