Other than bragging rights do you get anything else for promotion within the badges?

Does it really matter ?

Nope

Bragging rights are good things!  It looks good on your profile.Wink

Bragging rights are a good thing -- it raises my already overinflated value of self-worth!

In reality though, it is good for showing who has been on the board for a while, which theoretically indicates someone whose post might hold some value. Although the specific ranking names used on this board are unique, the system is used on most boards that I have been on.

As far as the badges, it is simply an indicator (and a small thank-you from the staff) of your support to the success of this board.

Big Smile  - Just needs to get fixed or remove the feature.

Last place I was a member where that stuff meant anything was the US ARMY...you wore your pedigree and status on your sleeve, and chest...only people it really meant anything to were other GI's, who could actually read it...other than that, to me, badges and such doesn't mean much of anything...they want to put up a post count, well fine....you read my stuff, and some find it helpful...that's nice...if not, then not......as far as fingers...well..I give em out to folks that take the time to post something I personally find useful, or entertaining...I'll just stop there...heheheh
