Bad cruise

Departed on 1/11 (Majesty of the seas ) not the best experience. Observed staff using low grade alcohol for drinks that were advertised have top shelf liqueur. Half the staff at the bars were friendly and the other half seemed miserable. Bahamas is nightmare, harassed every five steps and of course that was the longest day at port. Coca island was ok but again bad service and again observed staff using bottom shelf liqueur.  Key west was amazing but not enough time at port. Thursday woke up and had a fever of 103 and when I got back to PA I went to the Emergency Room and I have bronchitis and some virus or bacteria. Night life entertainment was boring and the same song and dance. I suggest mixing things up. Will never do again. Sorry but I'm telling the truth.

There is no such thing as a bad cruise. Catastrophes aside, this is true. No matter the weather, or misfortune, you’re not at work. You’re one of the relatively too few privileged enough people to afford a holiday, and a cruise at that.

I too got a cold after my cruise but this happens when so many people are together in close quarters. I usually take vitamin c and zinc but did not this time .Still had a fun time anyway but was not on this cruise line. The alcohol issue is not a good reputation for a cruise line to get. so I hope they fix that.

It's always good to have a bit of light entertainment on a quiet sea day.Wink

Wow, thanks for sharing JusMe.

I recall now when that happened but seeing the video of what's taking place inside is something else. Man, the tables and chairs were actually flying from one side to the other at one point. The one guy at the desk was trying to manage some level of decorum until the big one hit, then the computer went flying along with the other crew man who he was just handing the computer to.

That is P&O Australia, the Pacific Sun was the original Carnival Jubilee.

Sorry you didn't enjoy your cruise. I tend to catch colds on cruises because of the air conditioning. Some times I don't care for the entertainment or maybe the meals aren't up to snuff, but I always have a good time. I enjoy cruising
