April Fools Day is Coming!

April Fools Day is this Saturday, the local radio stations usually have an April Fools Day bit, not sure what they will do since it is on a Saturday this year. Maybe when I go to the Amish store they will come out using technology,,, but then they already do since they use modern cash registers, take credit/debit cards etc.

My favorite April Fools day gag is when Rock 92 used the "The dihydrogen monoxide hoax involves calling water by the unfamiliar chemical name "dihydrogen monoxide" (DHMO), and listing some of water's effects in an alarming manner, such as the fact that it accelerates corrosion and can cause severe burns."

Others include the Dale Earnhardt 3 cent stamp that the Post Office was supposed to start selling or when they told everyone to bring their tv or vcr remotes to Circuit City, Best Buy or a video store with their name, address and phone number taped to it and the store would turn their tv system into HD tv by adding a chip to the remote.

I have seen the Carnival Submarine and the roller coaster hoaxes, but  what is your favorite April Fools Day hoax? Have you been onboard for an April Fools Day?

My favorite holiday :)

Too early in the morning to remember the best, but I do remember the dihydrogen monoxide bit.

Classic!!

NY Mets ; Sid Finch

I got banned from a vaping forum because of the DHMO bit -- most of the forum were in a panicBig Smile

Little known fact - DHMO was used widely in the Nazi Concentration camps, and is still piped into every cabin on Carnival shipsSurprised

My son and I try to outdo each other every year and go to great lengths to "fool" each other ... last year I acted like our cruise was cancelled ...lasted about 15 minutes.

Your birthday?

Birthday? No or do I not get the joke ...

Oh yea, i was almost banned from a parents of Autistic children board for that prank. i had asked everyone to pray for us since the DHMO was found in our water supply!

It is always fun to fool people. Now if I can only remember that it is April Fool's Day and not get fooled myself.
