Yeah, we're sitting at a cool 50 degrees ...

OK most winter days in FL I do wear sandals almost exclusively but one day recently I had to wear closed shoes. I think this will happen again this weekend. No swimming in the pool for me, I guess. Sad We are in for a bit of a chill. Everything is relative, though. Our chill is not the same as our northern friends' chill.

OK! We awoke to -6.7F (-215C) and we hope to reach 20F (-6.7C) today, so sandals are not appropriate foot wear out of doors. That said, packing (or preparing to pack) for our sailing in 9 days doesn't mean they aren't readily available.

Not sure about sandals here in Los Angels....... we have this strange wet stuff falling from the sky, we do not get it often but rite now wet stuff falling.

Supposed to drop to 19 degrees here in southeast North Carolina.

At the moment in Edmonton it is Minus 17 but with the wind it feels like -27c

OR -16 F to you folks south of the 49th.

But that reminds me---I have to buy new flip flops for the trip to my hot tub.....

I've seen people disembark in the middle of winter wearing shorts and flip flops, and going north with no coats. They usually say whoever is meeting them is bringing a coat

That's the way it works for us.

Winter coats stay in the car until we return.
