ANYONE EVER BOOK ONE ONBOARD?

Never did that, the obvious advantage if its "far out" is to get exactly the cabin you want, but since we usually book way in advance anyway, never had a problem.  NCL has the CRUISENEXT program, and we buy the max every trip for future use...Are there any other advantages to booking on board?  Some kind of OBC mebbe?

I have booked a few on HAL , you get OBC and sometimes a lower deposit

Agreed, we have booked on Hal for those exact reasons.

When we sailed NCL we bought the cruisenext vouchers which is a pretty good deal. I always try to have one or two Princess Future cruise credits also.

We have bought the cruise next vouchers from NCL as well. They are good for 4 years. Never booked while on the cruise as it is easier to see what is available using the NCL web site in the comfort of your home.

Princess offers OBC and reduced deposit -- $100 down pays the deposit and gives you $50 - 100 OBC depending on the length of the cruise. I've never booked a cruise onboard, but do get the future cruise credit.

Yes we have, but only when we knew which one we wanted before boarding and the cruise became available whilst on the cruise. It does normally have an advantage of more on board spent..

Tempted but never did.

yeah but she turned out to be an undercover cop.

did you know all ships have jails ?

Funny you should mention that....few months back we were considering adding another one between the ones we already booked...we picked it, and I doodled up a deck plan, with alternative cabins....knowing if we booked it, we wouldn't be as comfy as we are here, fiddling when we please...so we actually did our homework as you suggested...now, we're thinking the Canal instead, but I need the new schedule.....

We’ve booked a Carnival cruise while onboard and received more OBC, a cheaper deposit and a voucher to give our friends/family to use if they booked within a certain period of time.
