Any tricks for traveling with an injury?

We are traveling with my mom and Aunt to Alaska on the 29th. My Aunt (upper 60's) injured her foot over the weekend and is now in a walking boot. Any advise or tricks learned while traveling injured? We are working on a wheelchair - just in case.

Thinking about traveling around Caribbean, any suggestions?

I cannot express how important compression socks are for traveling if you have a lower leg injury. The way extremities swell on planes becomes much worse if that extremity is recently injured. Compression socks are the best way to combat that. Do yourself a favor and get at least one pair for your trip. I am a big fan of Pro Compression socks.

Rent a mobility scooter to get around ship and shore excursions.
