Any suggestions for the Princess Crown?

We leave for the ABC Islands on Feb 10th.  Any information anyone can give?  I am trying to pack light but am finding I am still going to have a huge luggage full of things.  Any suggestions would be helpful.  Thank you, Tammy

I was in Curaçao and Aruba last week! I don't know if you have your excursions already planned, but we did a tour through Irie in Curaçao and it was a blast - great value, too. In Aruba we did a snorkel and catamaran excursion through Carnival and it was the best one I've ever been on. I know that Princess and Carnival are part of the same corporation, so they probably do similar/the same tours there.

In Curaçao be sure to go walk on the floating bridge - it's really cool! And I definitely packed way more than I needed, especially of tops and shorts (and I was on an 8 day cruise!). So you can probably trim down a little even if it doesn't seem like it.

Tammy - pack less clothes than you think you need. Each deck has a laundry (washer and dryer). Use your cabin card to pay. Take a couple laundry pods with you, dryer fabric sheets too.  NOBODY should realize you wore the same outfit twice. The Crown Princess is a beautiful ship. Enjoy!

The old adage is "Take half the clothes and twice the money you were planning on".

If you pack coordinated outfits, then you can make do with 3 or 4 outfits for an 8-10 day cruise. Add a couple of pairs of shorts and t-shirts. Only two pairs of shoes -- one comfortable pair and one dress-up. If needed, Princess usually has a public laundramat on every passenger deck..

Note, though, that I am a confirmed over-packer and don't follow my own rulesBig Smile

The Crown Princess was my first Princess cruise.  It’s a beautiful ship.  If you go to any shows in the Princess Theatre remember to go at least 30 minutes early to get a seat.  If you want a good seat you’ll have to go even earlier.

Thank you everyone.  I really appreciate the advice.

Just layer your clothes in case the weather cools.  Use the ship's laundry machines. Try not to take too many different colors so you can mix and match.  Remember, everyone else is in the same situation.  Try to take the same colored pants & shorts so you can use your tops with both.  Pick tops that can be used for dinner & during the daytime.  Sandals are lightweight but bring one pair of sturdy shoes for walking around the islands,.  Annd bring a small  umbrella for sudden showers.  The ABC islands are beautiful.  Have a great cruise.  Tell us all about it on your return.  Remember a pair of black slacks can see you though evenings on board. whether smart casual or gala is scheduled.

Thank you all so much for the information.
