any opinions on the VIsion of the Seas??

My wife and I, along with our best friends, recently booked a cruise on the VOTS out of New Orleans for January of next year.

This will be our 3rd cruise (both prior trips were on the Adventure) and I know that the VOTS is a smaller ship but I haven't seen too many discussions about her and was wondering if anyone had any opinions to share about their experience on board,

We booked this trip due to a good fit in a time slot where we were all available. We splurged a little and managed to get Grand Suites, and we are looking for a great time.

Thank you in advance for any comments or opinions.

The Vision doesn't have all the bells & whistles of the larger ships but we really like it. The staff is amazing, the ship is easy to get around and the food was good. We were on her in November & going back on her next month. The rock climbing wall was fun. If you enjoy all the extras on the bigger ships, you may be a little disappointed but we prefer the personal-feel of the smaller ships.

Thanks for that review.  I'm a golden oldie and really prefer not all the bells and whistles.  I go to relax.  However this transatlantic for 16 days may have me too relaxed.

Hello jthel:

I'll also a golden oldie and will be cruising alone.  I have taken two transatlantic cruises and never found it too relaxing. Instead, I found something going on almost all times, specially when crossing the Atlantic.  I guess you can make it as busy or as slow as you want.  Hope we meet onboard.

I have not ailed this ship-sorry.  Let us know how your cruise goes.
