For Seattle, I recommend going to check out the Freemont Troll, catch a beautiful city view at Kerry Park, ride on the Great Wheel, eat some local food at Pike Place Market (get some Pike Place Chowder!), go see a fantastic view at the Skyview Observatory - Columbia Center, walk around Olympic Sculpture Park, discover The Sound Garden, and visit Bruce Lee's grave! Or get out in nature and make a day trip out of going to Mt. Rainier!

As far as food in Alaska, I've read that you HAVE to find King Salmon. Apparently this never really makes it out of Alaska (they ship the Sockeye).

Tripadvisor has some suggestions. check it out

Look for places that offer fresh King Salmon or Halibut - you'll never go back to the stuff sold in the lower 48.
