Happy Turkey day to all you American Cruisers!

“May your stuffing be tasty.

May your turkey plump.

May your potatoes and gravy

Have nary a lump.

May your yams be delicious

And your pies take the prize.

And may your Thanksgiving dinner

Stay off your thighs.” – Author Unknown

I had to work most Thanksgivings when my kids were young, but now my job allows me to be off on holidays.  One SIL is an EMT, so he will be working.

I do believe our neighbours to the north celebrate Thanksgiving day just not on the same day as the Americans south of them.

I love the poem  askeegan posted! Ctav is right, Canadians celebrate Thanksgiving in October with most of the same yummy foods that our southern relatives enjoy . Hold the biscuits and gravy!

Happy turkey day to my American friends and family.

Now that I am retired every day is like Thanksgiving Day.  I hope all of our American Mates on this site enjoy their Thanksgiving Dinner with family and friends.

Best wishes to all for a happy Thanksgiving.  Being retired I will not be working.

I will be at my brothers mother in laws house for El Salvadorian  Turkey and all the side dishes.  I will bring home made corn bread,   a couple bottles of wine and a cherry pie (have to sneak in some American stuff)

I have, in the past, worked Thanksgiving. Also at double time.  We ate when I got home
