Alaska or Caribbean, for first time Cruise

I'm setting up a Cruise this summer for my brother in-law, nephew and myself.   For me it will be # 24 for them it is their first.   My brother in-law is 60 and my nephew is 25.

Originally it started when I stated I was going to do an Alaska cruise this summer and they said they wanted to go.  After thinking about it,  they live in Seattle and would Alaska really bee good for their first cruise.   I thought, they live in cold and wet,  why do cold and wet for a vacation ?

I am thinking RCCL for the line so the nephew can have some people his age to hang out with.  For myself I would go Celebrity.  I do not think they would like Carnival and NCL depends on the ship (none of the fogged glass wall between shower and cabin)

Your thoughts for a good first cruise for them ?

Wow... difficult to know for sure not knowing you but if it's summer in your area, going to the Caribbean won't be as much of a break from the cold and muck as it would be if you were going in the dead of winter. Plus, summer is the best time to cruise Alaska.

As for things to do... there are plenty of opportunities to meet others in any age group. Just check the daily schedule for gatherings/events.  Excursions are another fun way to meet people.

While we will do an Alaska cruise at some future time, we always associate cruising with the warm weather, so Caribbean is the way to go.

You will love it either way.

Why not just ask them which they would prefer.  If none of you have done Alaska yet,  go there.  If all of you want aqua warm water and balmy breezes, do the Caribbean.  You may be better prices here in the summertime.

Either way, you will probably enjoy the cruise.  Let us know which you decide to do and post a review on your return.  Have fun and I'd love to see your photos posted with the review.
