Airport to Pier Transfer Miami to Ft Lauderdale

Hello fellow cruise enthusiasts. We are going to cruise out of Fort Lauderdale in the next year. I am trying to plan air fair from Seattle to Florida. However, depending on when we travel, the flights into Miami are much cheaper than flying into Fort Lauderdale. I can't find on RCL's site what the airport to pier transfer cost is. Does anyone know how much it is for the shuttle from Miami and from Fort Lauderdale to the port? Thanks for your help. Big Smile

Are you going in the day of or the day before?  Day before, you can stay at certain hotels that offer free shuttle service.  One my wife and I enjoy, although not overly fancy, is the Rodeway Inn in Fort Lauderdale.  Free pickup from the airport to the hotel and free shuttle from the hotel to cruise terminal.

As for shuttles day of, Eagle is a good one to use but frankly it will cost you more than getting a cab.

Really depends on the flights. That's why I was wondering what the shuttle transfers were from Miami. I've found flights to be as much as $75-$100 less to Miami. Some are the day before and others are the day of. But for argument sake, let's say the day of. What would the shuttle be from the airport to the Port in Fort Lauderdale? Do you know?

Thanks.Happy

Don't overlook using Uber. There are plenty of drivers in the Miami - Ft Lauderdale area.

Shuttle would be roughly 70 - 80 through the average service.

In Feb 2016, we just flew into Fort Lauderdale from Philadelphia on Jet Blue. We took a private SUV to the Miami pier. It was my moms first cruise and she had never been to Florida. She felt like a star. It was 75.00 one way. On our way back we took a taxi and it cost $50.00. Going to-the driver was allowed to ride in the express lane-it was like "butter" getting to Miami..coming back we took a taxi and had to ride with the normal traffic. No big deal, we had plenty of time and our flight ended up being delayed anyway.

Depending upon how much time you have before cruise (and I would recommend not cutting it too close, you can rent a car for around $30 and drop at car return near pier where they will provide a free shuttle to pier.  Thrifty has cars from Ft Lauderdale or Miami Airports that do not charge extra to drop off at Pier instead of returning to airport.  We usually unload all the luggage at Pier and then return car but you can do it either way.

I fly southwest and always go into Ft. Lauderdale... super close, and when we flew in the day of, Taxi was just like 25 or 30 bucks. We almost missed our flight so we go the day before now and stay in a hotel. Most all of them have shuttles to/from airport and pier.
