Airline Fares - Crazy Prices today

I just booked a flight on Southwest Airlines from LAS (Las Vegas) to FLL (Fort Lauderdale for $79 in March...same flight was $180 yesterday ... If you're shopping air fare, check it out as there are numerous "President Day Sales" on various flights according to the rep I talked to on the phone!

Guess I better book a cruise now too ...lol

Nice! I wish we got sales like that for our flights. We will be flying from western Canada to Orlando next month and paying $1600 for 2 of us, return fare.

Glad you were able to find a deal. I had the opposite experience today. I've been checking fare for August; price went up $43 since Friday. I'll keep checking...

Rep I talked to said Tues-Thursday are best time to check fare deals and any kind of a "holiday".  I look at the entire calendar for the month rather than check a specific day. Nice part about Southwest is you can always change dates without any type of fee.

I'll bet that you find a good price for a cruise.

Did I mention that this $79 airfare is now costing me over $1000 ...between having to change flights to Ft lauderdale and dual flights coming home from St. Maarten via New York and one from Ft lauderdale ...

Ouch

WOW!  That is long way to go.  It only takes me 9 hours to drive to Port Canaveral.  Nice and easy south on I95.

Yikes! Our fare is $1600 for both of us to fly from Western Canada to Florida.

We also tend to fly Southwest and I watch the fares continuously (just like the cruise fares) because if they drop Southwest will credit you account.  We bought ours at the best time as they have only gone up.Happy

Flying anywhere from Canada hurts the pocketbook.

I can stay at the time share in Hawaii for a couple of hundred bucks for a whole week, but the air fare cost more that a 23 day cruise.

Can't wait until they fix the Transporter........
