Age limit on motorcycle excursion

My first cruise on the Conquest we booked a motorcycle excursion in Cozumel.  This next cruise we wanted to do the excursion again, BUT the cut off age is 70!!(says so in the details) I am 71, and STILL ride motorcycles.  I go to the Lonestar Rallay in Galveston every year all days it is held, in fact I have been to Sturgis., so why do they have age discrimination on this excursion?  My last cruise to alaska, I rented a motorcycle in Skagway, no age problem there.

Wow ... hubby will be 73 in November and that would really tick him off ... Me ...I'm a chicken all my life when it comes to motorcycles...

We had the same problem with a Segway excursion in Australia. The cruise line had a cut off at age 70. We booked a private excursion with no age restriction that was about half the price. We had a private guide for the two of us and had a wonderful time. We had never tried Segways before, but at 73 and 74 had no problems learning to ride.

Maybe it has something to do with the company’s insurance or liability. To find out for sure you’re going to have to ask them directly.

Well that sucks!

I don't like that age limit rule either. I'm still young, quite young, quite very young, but I think it's wrong to set these age limits. On the bicycles club I used to ride with there were 70+ year olds that were riding in the hills better then I was.

I guess that riders over 70 have more accidents than those under 70. How sad for you.
