ADS

Didn't know this site would tolerate blatant ads in the form of posts...seems like a TOS violation but what do I know?  I flagged it as inappropriate, and it went away..does that mean its gone for everyone?

It is gone for all until it is checked and confirmed and then will either reappear or disappear into the ether

well if that means its reviewed by a higher power...then fine.  who am I to decide something like that...some folks might like ads....and therefore, by extension, that other thread that "reappeared"  could have been removed...yet obviously it wasn't...and came back like a boil.

Most likely it will get pulled. Most advertising does. This is not the first and probably will not be the last

Ads always pop up and is a constant pain.

well...popups are a pita indeed...cept in order to do it here, you have to register...….

We get them from time to time,  This time you caught it before a monitor or management.  It surprises me that people register and make a fake account to just post an ad.  I think we are better then most web sites that we flag and take them down quickly.

We also get some very strange posts now and again.  You did the right thing.  So glad you caught it! Don't understand why someone would go to the trouble to register, just to cause mischief.

well kids, you're making me feel better....I don't do the mod thing very well....Ive been in the mud pits and kicked over some rocks...this is MUCH more pleasant....those days are over...

The ads are a rarity here - As JusMe posted, usually they are seen and flagged by a member or admin, never to reappear.

As far as the contentious threads, I am happy that they do not censor them unless they go against the TOS. When they do, the Admin will only censor the offending post (and poster), but leave the thread for posterity.

I have seen a few and marked them as well.
