A Shred of Good News

Businesses in St Maarten/St. Martin are opening. According to a news article online, stores, grocers, restaurants and other businesses are opening for the few shoppers that are around. The streets are cleared of debris to make it easier to get around on foot or in a vehicle.

On St. Croix, there are also stores, banks and gas stations opening when the curfew is lifted for just a few hours a day.

it will take years, but any bit of "normalcy" must be showing some promise to the people who live on the islands.

Thanks for the good news about the islands.

That's so wonderful to hear.  St. Martin is one of my favorite ports.  Was just there in June.

I read somewhere that St Martin has received almost 10 times what the American islands are getting ... lots and lots of support ... as well it should be ....
