24 Days on the Royal Princess

Just did the Eastern & Southern Caribbean on the Royal Princess and felt it was fabulous.  The ship is beautiful, newish and laid out relatively well for a large vessel.  The addition of stairs in the central elevator area is a huge plus.

The Lotus Spa Enclave (large indoor "therapy pool" and a variety of saunas) was fabulous!

The food varied over the course of 24 days from wonderful to just so so in the dining rooms and Horizon Court Buffet. Perhaps the most interesting thing I noticed at the Buffet was that the Head Chef actually came out and tested all the food before "opening" the lines at various points of the day. I also found that many people do not realize there are different food types in each area of the buffet so you need to walk around and check out each area rather than assume they are all the same.  The only specialty restaurant I ate at was the Crown Grill with my usual 4 lobster tails and huge steak.  Alfredos had excellent calzones and was a nice alternative to the dining room or buffet.

Dress code was strictly adhered to on the two 10 day cruises, not as strict on the 4 day cruise.  The four day cruise was more of a party booze cruise atmosphere than the 10 day ones.

Movies Under the Stars always relaxing and the shows/entertainment were good.
